Butyl cellosolve in 1 Gallon size is a glycol ether with a very slow evaporation rate. Butyl cellosolve is also referred to as glycol ether EB or 2-butoxyethanol.
Uses:
Retarder solvent for nitrocellulose containing coatings used when severe blushing due to extreme humidity is experienced. As this solvent significantly slows the drying time, it is recommended to start with an addition of 1% of the solvent and not exceed 3%. If the blushing problem persists, contact your AkzoNobel representative.
